Frequently Asked Questions

  • No, I am not in-network with any insurance companies at this time. I can assist with using any out-of-network benefits if available with your insurance plan.

  • I work on a two-tiered, sliding-scale payment system. It’s not a perfect solution, but I see it as one way to address payment becoming a barrier to healing. I ask that you honestly consider your financial situation as we discuss your payment rate.

Lower Tier: $80-120 per 50min session | Upper Tier: $125-185 per 50min session

Since EMDR and Art Therapy can take longer than the standard 50-minute session, we’ll work out how much that extra time costs. Similarly, groups and workshops have a variety of factors to consider, which is why I provide rates depending on the specifics of each event.

  • I accept all major credit cards, FSA cards, and exact cash amounts. Credit Card payments are processed at the time of the appointment (unless previously established with therapist for a later time). Credit Card payments are processed through secure platforms.

  • You are entitled to know how much a provider’s services will cost you. Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, also known as the No Surprises Act,” protects people from unexpected medical charges. Under the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to give a Good-Faith Estimate to anyone who does not have insurance or who does not plan to utilize their insurance benefits.

I will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate based on the rates we establish and the frequency of our sessions at the start of our collaboration.

  • Many insurances plans offer options to see healthcare providers who are out-of-network with your insurance plan. You can use this handout as a guide to ask your insurance plan about what benefits you may have.

If your plan has out-of-network benefits that you’d like to utilize, I can offer clients two options:

    1. I can provide the Superbill document necessary to submit to your insurance for any reimbursements. You can then submit the Superbill yourself, depending on the requirements of your insurance provider, and your provider will then send you any reimbursements when available (see handout link above).

    2. I can invite you to sign up with Thrizer.com. Thrizer will automatically submit the Superbill to your insurance provider on your behalf, as well as send you any reimbursements when available. No having to deal with your insurance directly!

    *Important Consideration:

In order to utilize any Out-of-Network benefits, therapists are still required to provide potentially sensitive information about clients—such as date of birth, assigned sex at birth, and a diagnosis—to the insurance company. Please take into consideration whether or not you’d prefer some information to remain private, when determining the best options for your care needs.

  • You can estimate your out-of-network benefits by filling out your insurance information below. Based on our established rate, estimates may vary.
